Upgraded iPhone 3G to iOS 4

Well I finally got up the courage to upgrade the firmware in my iPhone 3G to the latest and greatest version yesterday. So far so good.

After my iPhone software issues of recent weeks I admit I was a little concerned. But, all seemed to go smoothly during the upgrade and restore process.

The 3G gets only limited new features with the upgrade. Of those I was most interested in the addition of folders to the home pages. I wanted a cleaner way to organize my apps on the iPhone and folders seems to do the trick.

I created folder for Utilities, Games, Social, News, Radio, Calculators and Stock. That last one, Stock, is where I put the apps that are standard from Apple that I don’t use very often. The others let me gather apps by my interpretation of app category.
